Come Home to Your Body Come Home to Yourself: Deepening Our Compassion

$65.00

At this time in humanity’s evolution, we are being called to shift from controlling our experience to caring for our experience.  The pull to control our experience is rooted in our fear, and to change the way we make choices in our lives, we must shift from living in fear to living in compassion.  When we don’t like how we feel, we often make choices to control our experience through external sources, such as drugs, alcohol, work, or shopping, but those challenging feelings are pointing us towards an underlying need that wants to be met with compassion and acceptance.  As we learn to do that for ourselves, our capacity to hold others in compassion grows.  The first step is to start with ourselves.

In this experiential workshop, we will explore the differences between pity, sorrow, judgement, and compassion in our bodies, through touch, movement, and talk.  The discoveries we make will help us listen to ourselves and each other in compassion, and hold the parts of ourselves that we do not like or struggle to accept with love and care.
